Adarsh Karekkat
Astrophysics PhD working on Neutron stars.
(And some completely unrelated robotics)
Adarsh Karekkat is a PhD researcher at LPC Caen.
He is an Indian researcher working in the field of astrophysics as a part of the Theory and Phenomenology group with Prof. Francesca Gulminelli and Dr. Marco Antonelli as his advisors. He graduated with his Master's from IISER Trivandrum in 2023. His work usually involves theory and numerical caluclations via Python.
His current project is to study the interplay between the superfluid neutrons and superconducting protons in the cores of neutron stars. Matter has exotic properties at extreme densities and this interests him. Neutron stars are the densest dierctly observable objects in the universe and so, they naturally became his theoretical playground.
He occasionally builds projects (hoping for useful ones) with Arduinos or ESPs
He has built several small projects as a part of his hobby. An ultra-sensitive fluorimeter (patent-pending), a rubens tube, an auto-titrator etc. and some others for fun. Some of them have qualified for competitions and won him a little bit of prize money too!
